Chofesh – Vacation
There are two vacation breaks scheduled during the academic year, one in late December and another during Pesach. Parents are urged to plan their visits to Israel during the formal Shalem vacation periods. In addition, all holidays, some evenings and most weekends are free. During these periods, participants are encouraged to visit friends and relatives. For Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and the Pesach seder, participants who are not staying with friends or relatives can be placed with host families in order to celebrate the holidays in an authentic Israeli home.
Shalem 2011-2012 Vacation Dates:
Winter Break: Thursday evening, December 23, 2010 – Motzei Shabbat, January 1, 2011
Pesach Break: Sunday evening, April 17, 2011 – Wednesday night, April 27, 2011
