Orientation
Shalem Orientation (SO) is mandatory for all Shalem applicants and consists of seminars and workshops designed to prepare applicants for the diverse and ever-changing Shalem program.
During SO, participants meet fellow applicants and members of the Shalem staff from Israel and the United States. SO enables applicants to understand what Shalem is all about and what group living and teamwork mean in the program’s framework. SO is where the applicants will learn about each of the Shalem components and affords the Shalem staff the opportunity to get to know applicants more thoroughly.
The cost of SO is included in the Shalem program tuition. Personal travel costs and expenses are additional and are the responsibility of the applicant. Dates and locations for SO will be announced at a later time.
