Siyurim

SiyurHighlights of the Shalem program include the weekly siyurim (excursions) that participants enjoy throughout the year. Special attention is given to the geography, geology, history and archaeology of Israel and all siyurim are supervised and directed by qualified guides and teachers. Siyurim options are designed to meet the needs of students who are spending time in Israel for the first time as well as those who have experienced the most frequent tourist locations.

Siyurim in Jerusalem are part of the academic program and the options will depend on the courses being offered. Potential siyurim include Ammunition Hill, Har Herzl, key political sites around Jerusalem, the Old City, the Tower of David Museum and more.

Special Siyurim include shofarot making, diving for tchelet, siyur selichot at the kotel, shuk arba minim, sukka building, decorating, and hoping, chanuka celebrations, purim parties, yom ha’atzmaut festivities, special davening for yom yerushalim, and more!
